Dispute Resolution between Resident and Operator

• Three-tiered system:

  • Good faith negotiation between Operator and Resident (including potential for voluntary mediation).
  • Ombudsman process – mandatory.
  • Neutral Arbitration at Singapore/London – independent arbitration is important optically to avoid any potential conflict of interest.
• Final decisions published (anonymised) and may evolve the BEC Code and practice within BEC.
