Article 4.29 Good Faith and Interpretation
(a) (1) Parties shall act in good faith throughout all dispute resolution processes governed by this Chapter.
(2) This Chapter shall be interpreted so as to promote:
(a) consensual and proportionate dispute resolution;
(b) legal certainty and finality; and
(c) the ICT as a globally trusted venue for dispute resolution.
(c) (3) In the event of interpretative ambiguity, interpretations that support alternative dispute resolution, enforceability, and procedural efficiency shall prevail to the extent consistent with due process and the express choices of the parties.
