Article 4.14 IC Court Judicial Commission.
(a) (1) There shall be established an IC Court Judicial Commission, which shall act independently and shall not be subject to direction or control by any external authority.
(b) (2) The Judicial Commission shall consist of: (a) the Chief Justice of the IC Court; (b) the Deputy Chief Justice of the IC Court; and (c) one judge of the Host Country judiciary nominated by the Chief Justice or equivalent of the Host Country, who shall not be a judge of the IC Court.
(c) (3) The Judicial Commission shall nominate candidates for appointment as judges of the IC Court and shall seek the input of the Operator prior to nomination.
(d) (4) Appointment of judges shall be made by the competent authority of the Host Country in accordance with applicable Host Country legislation and the Concession Agreement.
(e) (5) Judges shall, before assuming office, take an oath or affirmation to administer justice impartially and independently.
(f) (6) The Judicial Commission shall also act as the disciplinary authority for judges of the IC Court and may impose disciplinary measures in accordance with Directives and applicable law.
