Article 6.29 Arrest

(a) 6.29.1 Subject to the provisions of ICT law, any City Security officer may, without an order from a court and without a warrant, arrest any person who commits an offence in their presence, or for whom they have reasonable cause to believe a warrant of arrest has been issued.

(b) 6.29.2 Any private person arresting any other person pursuant to Part 3 of the ICT Governance Law, Part B § 2 Citizen’s Arrest shall without unnecessary delay deliver the person so arrested to a City Security officer, or in the absence of a City Security officer shall take such person to a court.

(c) 6.29.3 Every person is bound to assist a judge or City Security officer:

(A) reasonably demanding aid in the taking or preventing the escape of any other person whom such judge or City Security officer is authorised to arrest;

(B) in the prevention or suppression of an offence or breach of the peace;

(C) in the prevention of any injury attempted to be committed to any person or public property.
