Immigration Status & Visa

• Residents to receive a dedicated BEC Resident Visa (multi-year (with initial trial), 1-year, temporary visitor or longer term visa options available depending on eligibility) issued via submission of residency application through the BEC digital platform (“BEC City App” – working title).

• Visa issuance subject to:

  • KYC and security checks conducted via Brunei national systems.
  • Ongoing adherence to the Residency Agreement and BEC Code.
  • Payment of an annual Residency Fee – “subscription model”.
  • BEC SPV as Operator has the right to approve/deny applications. Brunei government may still accept applications within broader Brunei.
• Visa to be renewable and fully integrated into BEC’s legal infrastructure.
